Wayne Womble History

Wayne Womble is probably known best around Danville, VA. as a Local Dee Jay, But for those people from the Danville area who can go back as far as the late 1960s, they will remember Wayne Womble as the Co Founder and Keyboard player of The Soulmasters Band (See related story of The Soulmasters on the archives page).

Womble, who works as an Engineering Associate for Hickson DanChem Corp. in Danville, Va. got the idea in May of 1998 to write a Beach Tune. " I had the urge to get out of town and get back to the beach, so I wrote a song based upon my memories of going to Myrtle Beach in the 1970s".
